About the Author

Stephanie Zeman is a nurse with a master's degree in long term geriatric care, She decided to write this book after 20 years of experience working with people who had Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. She has also worked extensively with families and professional care givers providing education and support. Over the years Stephanie has helped long term care facilities develop dementia units, train staff and solve care giving problems. She has also been a speaker at past National Alzheimer's Association educational conferences and has been presenting seminars and educational programs on dementia care for over 15 years.
